FEEL THE ESSENCE OF NATURE INDOORS.
Komorebi is a innovative ceiling light installation designed to mimic the gentle interplay of sunlight filtering through a canopy of leaves. By bringing the soothing and poetic dynamics of natural light and shadow into indoor spaces, Komorebi offers a visually stunning experience. Its exceptional lighting quality adjusts seamlessly to outdoor conditions, reflecting changes in color and brightness. Fully self-sufficient, it integrates effortlessly with home automation systems. The first installation of Komorebi was developed for SAP Labs Munich.
Located on the research campus in Garching, Komorebi was installed in the Workcafe, an inviting communal space featuring a large rooftop terrace. Positioned in a setting with a panoramic 180° view, Komorebi creates an artificial clearing that harmonizes with the surrounding natural light and the greenery of nearby trees. This integration blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor environments, fostering a sense of connection with nature. The installation was creatively designed by the creative Studiobauer.
